From The White House press release: “President Clinton today named 60 young researchers as recipients of the third annual Presidential Early Career Awards for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE), the highest honor bestowed by the United States government on young professionals at the outset of their independent research careers. Those selected receive five-year research grants to further their study in support of critical government missions”.
